The Tour

Six Days of Touring:

Day 1: Addo Elephant Park.

Day 2: Start the drive to Cape Town looking at attractions along the way. Sleep Outshoorn.

Day 3-6: Continue to Cape Town and choose many of the available activities depending on weather and what your interests are.

  • Robben Island (Where Mandela was incarcerated).

General Information for Eastern Cape Province

     Terms & Conditions

  • All bookings will be confirmed in writing and by means of a contract.  Should a client decided to leave camp early, full payment is still applicable for the number of days booked.
  • A 50% deposit on the Safari is required to confirm your safari booking and the balance to be paid a month before arrival upon with invitation letters will be issued and emailed.  This also applies to client’s coming out on a daily rate.
  • The deposit is refundable with a 10% admin charge, provided the safari is cancelled no later than 90 days prior to arrival.  The deposit becomes non-refundable if a safari is cancelled with the 90 period within reason.
  • Observer rates for the duration of the safari are also payable in full a month before arrival.  Should an observer/s decide to leave early, there is no credit passed for the days they will not be there.
  • We accept cash, check or credit card as payment
  • Extra animals, whether wounded or lost must be paid for in full at the end of the safari.
  • All prices are quoted in U.S. Dollars
  • Trophy fees are subject to change without notice due to the exchange rate.
  • Safari Life will accept not responsibility for any accidents, negligence, illnesses or loss incurred by clients while on safari.  We highly recommend you take out personal insurance to cover yourselves if any of these expenses do occur.

     Daily Rate Includes:

  • Service of experienced Professional Hunter.
  • Hunting vehicle
  • Trackers and Skinners.
  • Accommodation, all meals, soft drinks, beer and wine.
  • Daily laundry service.
  • Field preparation of trophies.
  • Hunting license.
  • All transport by road for the duration of the safari while hunting.

     Daily Rate does NOT Include:

  • All air travel
  • Pre and post safari accommodations and meals
  • Rifle hire and ammunition
  • The preparation, dipping, packing, documentation and export of trophies from South Africa
  • Gratuities
  • Trophy fees on additional animals taken
  • 14% government tax on daily rate
  • Day trips (there is a transportation charge of $200 for all day trips. This cost excludes entrance fees and restaurant meals.  We can however arrange for  packed lunches.)
  • Dog fees of $100 per day for Blue Duiker and Cape Lynx for first two days.
  • There is no VAT on charged animals if they are being exported. However, there will be 14% VAT charged on all animals that are not dipped and packed and exported.

Insurance

  • We recommend a comprehensive travel, baggage and medical insurance. 
  • Safari Life Taxidermy cannot be held liable for any losses, injuries, damages or accidents that may occur on safari.

ALL ANIMALS WOUNDED OR LOST WILL BE PAID FOR IN FULL AT THE END OF THE SAFARI AND WILL INCUR  THE 14% VAT CHARGE.

Other Information

FLIGHTS

Clients will fly into O.R. Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) or Cape Town International Airport.  You will then need a connecting flight to Port Elizabeth where we will be waiting to meet you and take you to camp.

Please make sure that when booking your flights that you have at least a 2 and a half hour layover between flights.  Moving from International to domestic can take a while at times and if you have rifles, it does take longer.
